Sofia Film Fest and Kinomania join forces in the name of Bulgarian cinema

The National Palace of Culture traditionally welcomes films and guests at the Sofia Film Fest. The partnership between Kinomania and SFF has been going on for years and has always been an example of collegiality and tolerance in the name of one important goal – reaching the big cinema to the Bulgarian audience.

During the pandemic period, the National Palace of Culture, respectively Kinomania, and Sofia Film Fest will present a total of four films.

They were to premiere in the program of Kinomania in November 2020, after which they would be included in the 25th Sofia Film Fest.

Due to the displacement of Kinomania after the March edition of SFF, the films will be premiered at Kinomania in April, but will retain their participation in the program of Sofia Film Fest with screenings from Kinomania and will be joint for the two festivals.

The fourth film common to both festivals is The Khan and the Empire – the new version of one of the most popular films in the history of Bulgarian cinema – “Khan Asparukh“.
