The exhibition “Dante Plus 700 – Sofia Edition”, which marks the anniversary of the death of the great Italian poet, can be viewed on the pedestrian section of Paris Street in Sofia until June 25, 2021.
This was announced by the organizers of the Italian Cultural Institute.
The collective exhibition “Dante plus 700 ″ – Sofia edition” is an idea of Marco Mikoli from BONOBOLABO and borrowed from the project Dante Plus 700 in Ravenna. The project brings together a group of different artists who, through illustrations, comics and street art, try to breathe new life into the great identity of the great Dante Alighieri.
The means of expression they use are tempera drawing, geometric drawing and even 3D animation. Some of the works, animated by the Milan studio Alkanoids, are shown with augmented reality technology through the free smartphone application “ARIA the AR Platform”.
Illustrations with the ARIA logo can be animated using the app.
The opening of the exhibition, organized by the institute in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Bulgaria and BONOBOLABO – Ravenna, marks the beginning of a series of events on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the poet’s death.
The exhibition, printed on large panels displayed on the fence of the Embassy and in front of the entrance of the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia, is located on the pedestrian part of Paris Street and can be visited even in case of closure or restrictions due to the complicated epidemiological situation in the country.
“Dante Plus 700 – Sofia Edition” marks the beginning of a series of events dedicated to the Patriarch of Italian Language and Literature Dante Alighieri (1265-1321).
