The jewelry company “Faberge” announced the creation of a precious egg in honor of Easter and the tenth anniversary of the release of the first episode of “Game of Thrones”, informs “Hollywood Reporter”, quoted by BTA.
The price of the jewelry inlaid with diamonds and rubies will be 2.2 million dollars.
The prominent specialist of the company Lisa Tolgren works on the design together with the costume designer of the series Michelle Clapton.
Continuing Faberge’s long tradition of combining the expected with the unexpected, this jewel tells more than one story. The egg opens to reveal a beautiful surprise in the form of a crown sitting majestically on top of a shining crystal base. This is a miniature version of the crown that Deneris Targaryen could have worn if she had ascended the Iron Throne. The role is played by actress Emilia Clarke.
“From the beginning, the evolution of this egg has been really poetic,” Clapton said. “The design refers to Deneris Targaryen’s incredible journey and the importance in the colors of her costumes, her passion for her dragons and the way she speaks through her jewelry during the series. References from the textures of dragons and their iconic eggs were used to shape the surfaces of this egg. ”
The exterior of the egg is purple, blue, red and silver, with diamond accents. The inside is literally ruby red, with a winged dragon and a miniature version of the crown that would have been presented to Deneris if she had held the Iron Throne.
Faberge designed the most famous series of 50 Easter eggs for the Russian imperial family from 1885 to 1916.
“A new surprising collaboration, combining our superb craftsmanship and artistic ingenuity with one of the most iconic television series of the 21st century. This one-of-a-kind work of art is in the process of being created and offers a unique opportunity for one person to acquire it, ”the jewelry company wrote about the precious item, which will be shown later in 2021.
