Only on April 8, 9 and 10 from 3 pm to 7 pm in the Etude Gallery will be open for visitors the installation “Revelations for before the end of the end”.
Will there be an end to the world and what would that end be are questions that Iva Sveshtarova, Willy Prager and the whole team of this artistic project have been asking themselves for a long time, even before the world lives in a different rhythm due to the pandemic.
In search of their answers, they turn their attention to various stories about the end of the world, visual examples and interpretations of the topic in popular culture. To tell us about their idea of what an apocalyptic body would look like, what its emotions would be and what the mass psychosis of the coming destruction would sound like, in their installation they used over 300 withering flowers, a specially shot video and a photo comic.
And because the apocalypse is a gigantic, omniscient event, Revelation Before the End is only the first step in its creative unfolding. Therefore, throughout the duration of the installation, Iva Sveshtarova and Willy Prager will be in the Etude Gallery, ready for apocalyptic and other conversations with each visitor.
And after this meeting with the audience, the team will continue to work on creating a solo performance, which is expected to premiere in late June.
Admission to visit the installation “Revelations for before the end” is free. The event is held in compliance with current anti-epidemic measures.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the Creative Initiatives Program of the National Culture Fund and the Brain Store Project, in cooperation with the Etude Gallery.
